Am I Ready For Kara?
You would think that this would be a simple question. Maybe even one not worth asking an longer.
But with over 10million subscribers and more coming online everyday and Hunter’s being one of the “Most Popular” classes to play, it’s no wonder this question get’s asked on an almost daily basis. Now we’ve posted different guides that help get you geared. We have Zeisha’s Level 70 Pre-Raiding Guide, Elysiaana’s Beast Mastery Guide that both address this from one viewpoint.
We now have another voice helping to calm the nerves of new hunters. Over on the Official Forums, Navarrus (US) Draka has posted <[Guide]>All Your Common Questions Answered!! It has gotten such a positive response Blizz has even stickied it!!
Navarrus graciously allowed us to host the guide here. But in the mean time, what about this question about being ready for Kara?
Here’s what Navarrus has suggested.
“Am I Ready for Kara??”
There are so many levels of readiness required depending on your group. If you are joining a group that has Kara on farm already, then you pretty much just need a key, and they can drag you through. For those of you who are entering Kara with a new group, with little experience, or just don’t want to suck if you are joining an existing group, then you need to prepare yourself a bit.
This is the gear I went for at level 70, and I think it is the best you can get pre-kara, with no heroics or badge loot, which will still have you set very nicely for Kara.

To start off Kara you will be severely lacking +hit, but it will be made up quickly as you collect loot there. To help close the gap to start, use ALL Glinting Flame Spessarite or Glinting Noble Topaz. These will give you a nice bit of hit while maintaining a strong agil pool.
The gear listed, with all Glinting Flame Spessarite, and listed enchants with the exception of a khorium scope in place of the stabilized eternium, will yeild the following results, all self-buffed
