The Hunting Lodge Supports Child’s Play
There are a ton of charities out there, and we could just have a complete blogroll of them alone. But since we’re a gaming site, I did a bit of research and found out what Child’s Play is all about.
Since 2003, Child’s Play has raised over $3.5 million (USD) in donations, toys, games, books and money for children’s hospitals accross the globe.
Being a father myself and have had in the past two children helped by the outstanding Physicians, Nurses, and Staff at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, I feel it is time to give back.
I am in no way, requesting that you donate. But would encourage you to at least look at the site, and if your heart leads you and your pocket book allows, then I encourage you to do so. ( Child’s Play Hospital Donation Page or Paypal Donation Link)
If you choose to donate by the home site you can actually, pick a specific hospital to donate, as well as look at their wish list. So they don’t only ask for money, but also other stuff like toys and games.
We will carry a link on the front page indicating our support for Child’s Play. The Hunting Lodge does not receive any recognition or anything for this or your donations. This is something that I as a father have done on my own and just feel it to be the right thing to do and help them help children.
